This project started at MP 357 to MP 363 and included a听陆 mile听of road reconstruction and widening听for safety improvement, lane leveling, and six miles of听2鈥�听milling and overlaid with听2鈥� of 陆鈥� SMA. Burdick Materials completed this project on time and on budget with zero injuries and material in rejection and improved the ride by over 50%.听听

Working within a 9-hour nightly mill and overlay shift, our traffic control, trucking, asphalt plant, and construction crews were successfully able to rotomill 4" of existing asphalt and pave back 2.5" of hot mix asphalt (HMA). Upon completing the HMA phase of 28,134 tons, we paved back 18,553 tons of Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) on 17 lane miles, with only two bumps to grind.
