Western Rock Completes Helicopter Concrete Delivery Along the Virgin River

January 28, 2026

Western Rock demonstrated exceptional teamwork and problem‑solving as crews supported a power infrastructure project in Southern Utah. New power poles were being installed along the Virgin River in areas unreachable by traditional delivery methods and each location required concrete foundations despite the steep, rugged terrain.Ìý

To meet the challenge, Western Rock delivered 70 yards of concrete by helicopter over the course of two days.ÌýMaterial was flown from the Sorenson pit inÌýroughly 1.2‑yardÌýloads and placed precisely along the riverbanks, allowing crews to set the poles safely and keep the project on schedule.Ìý

WeÌýdon’tÌýjust meet expectations. We lift them. This operation reflects why we areÌýThe Preferred Source. When a jobsite presents obstacles, our people find a way to deliver safely, efficientlyÌýand with the commitment our customers rely on. Aerial concrete deliveryÌýisn’tÌýan everyday task, butÌýit’sÌýa clear example of the capability and dedication that define our team.Ìý
